Well I'm 19 and I'm from vancouver 💪 I love my fent city

And I work as a bartender

vancouver is really nice but it has loads of issues

i still love it regardless i think its the most beautiful place in the world

but it kind of stings because i will 100% be pushed out because i dont think the problems the city has are going to get fixed

i'm kinda in the same position

not that it would stop me but moreso that the work needed ot live here is extremely high

i would love to live in the city the rest of my life

i mean nyc is always nyc but even the regions outside of it get more crowded and crowded and prices rise

i'm trying to act on broadway, write a novel, create a tv show, become a civil or human rights lawyer, and work in nyc politics

i cannot leave

but i also am not the kind of person who has close enough friends that i can just like

rent an apartment with four other people when i turn 22

i've lived my entire life in the new york area

grew up on long island and moved to the city in high school

but this is why we need the revolu--

i mean

i can do that but that's also psychological torture so I wouldn't

at least for an apartment with 4 people id genuinely die

I would definitely want to do things to help vancouver but in the grand scheme of things im probably a bit too pessimistic about it

i am fundamentally an optimist

one of the really big things is probably like

like i believe i can find a way through

grocers are more powerful than the government

its a good mindset

when i say pessimistic i moreso talk about vancouver the city itself

not really vancouver the plac

the geography here will always be a challenge and i thikn that is where it would end

how so?

vancouver's surrounded by a humongous mountain range and outside of that mountain range is a valley

and outside of that valley is another valley

and 3 humongous rivers

it's honestly kinda impressive that a city was managed to be built here in the first place

its a part of the beauty but its a part of what makes it so expensive too

well, two other things but yeah

but because of that all you get outside vancouver and the valleys are small towns since the geography is difficult to work with
