I had the best birthday ever! My husband surprised me with Baskin Robbin’s ice cream pie it made my whole day, and everyone gave me so many birthday wishes here and all my friends online and irl and it was a really great birthday

I'm doing great, today's mostly an errands day for me so just kinda running around town here

I'm a teacher so i've got off a few weeks here luckily

I’m working w folks w disabilities as a case worker at my state local office so unfortunately I don’t get much breaks unless I take them off lol

I used to go to law school out there but they sent everyone home in the pandemic and two years living somewhere else really changed a lot for me unfortunately so I couldn’t go back

It’s a big thing I wish I’d gotten to finish but I’m okay without it too I think, I’m really happy with how things are with what I do now because I’m a lot less anxious and I get to see the results of my efforts a lot more clearly!

And I help more people than I think I’d get to as a lawyer

Oh that’s neat! I’m glad you got that opportunity, it can be super stressful so don’t ever be too hard on yourself 🤍 though if you’re a logical/math thinking kind of guy you might have a much easier time

I’m a creative/writing kind of thinker and turning my brain to be analytical was difficult

Yeah I just finished my first legal writing class and it threw my brain for a bit of a loop

Not used to writing badly on purpose, definitely more of a words guy

It’s weird having to cite sources and approach most things with “it depends” because I very much like to know what to apply to what and have that be the typical answer

Unless it’s setting a precedent like it’s a situation that’s never been seen before, I like knowing what typically applies

But with legal writing it always depends on the details and the preceding laws and if those still make sense

Which makes it tough!

loved my english classes in college. took a queer lit class my senior year and it was literally 20 people and it was like 9 gay men, 9 lesbians, a football player and me

oh my god that sounds so fun!!! i took an edgar allen poe class in my senior year it was a blast

yeah it was great. read a bunch of baldwin, audre lorde and patricia highsmith and it ruled

and poe's great as well- I can't remember the name but I love the short story with the like murderous orangutan or whatever it was

there's some value in having a guy around who's kind of predictable and a good decoy

I honestly have been sweating that I’m overplaying, where I usually like to sit quiet and keep my head down as long as I can, making that alliance and blowing up what I’d been told by someone who definitely thinks we’re tight was nerve wracking

But he told me this morning you told him Theo pitched his name

here's what I'll say. there's some stuff I told ricci but I kept you totally out of it

And I just did what I could to reassure him that Theo hadn’t shared that with me and played up that I don’t know you well

yeah I did, because I dont trust it one bit

Cause if we go for Ricci the most important thing to me is blindsiding him

Cause something tells me him in a panic is bad

I know people think I have the idol. the theo thing feels like textbook blindside stuff

now you saying what you did does change the calculus a bit

I’m not mad cause I don’t expect you to trust me with there being nothing between us

I think I just want to make sure there's at least the beginnings of a plan moving forward for the next vote

I’m not really like wanting to vote you all as “easy boots” when that won’t change much for me in the long run

I don’t wanna be in charge I don’t wanna do too much but I have my limits of what I’m willing and not willing to do to make sure I’m still having fun in a game and I stand by them

I’m trying to think about what might make the most sense so you and Sams and Clint can feel happy about how the vote goes no matter what because that was the whole point of trying to have your backs

For me

If there’s some effort to paint you three as a problem and that y’all might have an idol and whatever then that same logic can be applied back to Ricci and Fuggles

Bethany is worried about trying to do a split, I’ve been trying to shift Ricci to think about voting Fuggles but I have no idea what’s actually going to happen

I don’t know what star or void want to do

Or Marissa at this point

I’m not even going to bother trying to know what Fuggles wants here

But if we can bait Fuggles and vote Ricci I’m happy w that

The chances of Fuggles being immune all merge long is slim

It’s not ideal but I’d rather have a win than a loss this round
