I am being 100% honest when I said that my first win was undeserved. It was a lucky streak, a comp record, a juror finding me hot, and being able to convince just enough jurors to win because I simply would not die. You can check the edgic and contender rankings for that season, I was not slated to win until the endgame due to one of the jurors having a "less impressive game" and the other one burned a few people on jury. I got INCREDIBLY lucky that I won my first ever LT org. I have played an infinitely better game from the refinement over watching games of Survivor play out as a spectator, applying game theory and economics concepts to my understanding, and learning the social side of the game. Compared to S4 me, I am an entirely different beast.

As for if you survived the rock draw, there's two sides. Either Mike/Riley would have gone, or Lezaria/Corny would have gone. If it were the first plan, I think the short term would stay the same. If it was the second case, it would be a lot tougher. I would not have as strong of a case to make the flip from one of you onto Dino, and while you would remain my best bet, I think both Mateo and Lezaria flip on us. The hedging came from the fact that our good outcomes were 3/5 as opposed to a 2/5. I will have to be honest and say that if either Corny or Lezaria got rocked out, my life in the game becomes even more dependant on comps, and I would not be able to make a run like I did with Katie. Long term would be much harder to exactly predict, since major points in the game were incited by others making a mistake and me capitalizing on it, like Corny and Mateo making you guys unhappy, pushing you guys to communicate with us more, and get a signal on the fact you were flipping.

i'll go with this specific example at the final 6... riley, i love you, i am sorry.

mateo going was absolutely a method of positioning myself in the best possible manner. it put a move, a spark, and a narrative to my name coupled with optimization (shit dude, i'm able to say i can compare myself to cirie fucking fields.) mateo being out of the game at 6 specifically wasn't in riley's best interest at all. i'd heard rumblings of mateo not wanting to make final tribal council, and i will say once again, mateo going for me was set in stone long before mateo expressed to me specifically that he wanted to go. if katie were to go at final 6 with no idol play, riley's got an idol at 5. if soul won that challenge and riley played an idol, i go. if riley won that challenge anyways, soul goes. soul not being there would put riley in a huge position to win final immunity, but whether it's myself or soul present at 4, mateo asks to leave there, putting riley in the final 3 (which is even more guaranteed if soul goes at 5 which he would've). i'd either get fifth place or lose easily to riley at this very stage if riley's original target of katie is out at 6.

i sold the mateo snipe to riley under the guise of guaranteeing that one of us wins and that one of us was the final juror. in the back of my mind, this solidified that i would be the one (contending to) win, and that riley got fourth. mateo specifically going was not in riley's best interest, and it was solely in mine (and lezaria's). i essentially got riley to dig herself in a hole to be gone at either 4 or 5 without a "goat" who wanted out before final tribal. she sits here and i either don't sit here or i look like a goat if i don't convince her to put the target on mateo.

riley, i do apologize on a human level for being manipulative towards you regarding all this. while i think you could infer i wanted you gone at four, i do need to admit that i didn't really intend on ever letting you get past that, and i didn't want to make fire against you. i had to lie to you and backstab you all over again, because in the game of survivor it's what i need to do to be sitting here. i apologize to riley the person, but from a gameplay pov i have zero regrets as to how i played that final 6 round at all.

i could also say i manipulated mateo into staying on katie there to "avoid rocks" when i orchestrated a 3-2-1 on him. i'd known that entire day i was writing his name down, with riley doing so too and lezaria keeping soul and katie at bay. him saying he wanted to go only changed what i wrote on my parchment.

@Mateo {S5; S9} to be very honest, I didn't have a backup plan if that tribal didn't go the way I wanted. It would have been very easy for you to flip at that point, and there would be generally no incentive to stick with me in the long term. While it may sound stupid to place your game on a gamble, Survivor does need just that bit of luck to win. You could get swap-screwed, you could have someone play an advantage or steal your vote, there's so many things that could happen at any one tribal, so you do need some kind of luck to win. I'm just the example of when it goes right. I wouldn't be completely out of the running, but I do think my run in the game is cut short at F7 assuming the same comp results, simply because I wouldn't be able to guarantee Katie's survival at F8 without the idol, and we would be left exposed at that time. Moral of the story is that gambling is good.

A dream FTC has a few meanings for me. If I'm purely optimizing for the win, any FTC without Dino, Riley, and Katie is an FTC I'm willing to play against.

My best chances FTC is me and some combination between Corny, Mike, Lezaria, and you. I can elaborate on why I think these were my best chances, so let me know.

My dream FTC, where I truly don't care about losing is Riley, Katie, and me. Best FTC for the best season.

@Riley G. {S9; S10} I think the strength in my game didn't come from convincing people to not vote for me, but rather in the fact that up until F5, I didn't need to convince people to keep me safe, I just needed to know that they wanted to vote for me to play around them. For both F10 and F7, I didn't convince people to not vote for me and Katie, I played around them by thinking that one extra step ahead.

In F10, while Virgo might have had an incentive to simplify the vote (he told me he was not very active at the time), Faye had no such incentive. Why flip to a minority when you can take out or weaken one of the biggest threats in the game? No matter how you cut it up, Faye, and by extension Virgo, would have to weaken the Katie/xSoul duo eventually, and the longer we stayed, the more momentum we would gain, and we exploited that by flipping onto Faye, someone who would not have an idol, who no one would play an idol on, and who no one would suspect was the vote.

In F7, I was fed exact information on how the vote was supposed to be Mike, Corny, and Mateo on me, Lezaria and you on Katie. You were a direct victim of Mateo's flip on Syn, and I heard murmurs of others calling Mateo unreliable. Knowing that this was the perception, it wasn't a massive leap in logic to say that either you or Lezaria would flip onto me as insurance, either out of your own accord, or from Mike trying to make a move for himself again. However, this would have left Katie vulnerable in a 3-3-1 tie had you used your idol (which that was insane, kudos to holding it, I was expecting the play), so to override the 1 vote being the decider, we flipped it onto Corny, who at that point had said he wanted nothing to do with us from F7 forward, and nobody would have expected it.

It's only in F5 where my strategy was to let Mike and Lezaria talk. Katie and I had been proclaiming about how I would be most likely bittered at the end for a while as I explained in the video, and out of their three options, I looked like the most attractive one due to my "low" win equity and potential to beat you at the challenge in F4. At this point, I didn't even need to convince anyone to keep me in, since I was certain that even in the event of a revote, the vote would go onto Katie.

I didn't need to convince people to keep me safe, they kept me safe without knowing it, either by falling into obvious plays, or by misdirection of my threat level.

I think my best move was the Faye blindside. Mateo and Corny had royally pissed off Faye and Virgo during the F10 challenge, and as a result, I was finally able to get talking with Virgo on actual game. His plan was to take out Corny as a quartet of himself, Faye, Katie, and I. I was all for this plan, since it would remove a straight number from Mike's side, and push Dino closer to an idol play. However, during my discussions with Faye, I didn't feel the same energy coming off of Faye. Now, this was a soul read, but I wasn't getting back the energy nor the effort back into making this Corny vote happen from Faye, and the alarm bells started ringing. At this point, I had to think of why people would work with us? It's not like we were a particularly attractive option. We didn't have majority, we were very threatening, and working with us would just get them targeted. And why would they work with us for longer than a round when we had made an F8 truce? The numbers didn't add up, and it was there that I was set on setting up a blindside. We were initially going to do Mike, but knowing that Dino isn't a brick, she could potentially have the foresight of playing the idol on Mike (which DID happen with the temp idol), so with 30 minutes left on the clock, Katie, Mateo, and I flipped the vote into Faye, who didn't have an idol, who no one with an idol would have played an idol on her, and that no one would expect.

I also got the entire cast to talk about BoJack Horseman and compare me to characters not once, but twice so that I could get an immunity idol LMAO.

also, was that idol you gave to Mateo real? I was theorising that it was either fake, or kept you safe but made you lose your vote because of the L.A Gazette being annoying in the show, and I thought you had an advantage from rehab with Speed, so it would have been easy for you to swap the idol for that advantage instead.

@Corny {S9} you were safe, I was being honest about working with you. I'm still not entirely sure about what the deal quas made was, but if I had the opportunity to take out Syn, I was doing it with you. Up until F8, I still considered you an ally, and I was being as truthful as I could be to you.

No deal was going to make me go back on that, which is why I sweat my balls off for Skribbl.io, didn't want to vote either you or Mateo the round after.

@Dino {S9} I wish I had a concrete answer as to a "hidden" strategy I had, but honestly, it was the VCs. Every person on this cast would overshare on VC, no matter who they were, and my pitches and tactics worked better on those I was able to be on VC with. I've had a lot of experience with public speaking and diplomacy in general, so every VC to me was an opportunity for information I would have otherwise not been able to get. The Alive Player VC in the beginning of the game allowed me to get those early connections and the 1-on-1 VCs allowed me to get close with the people I needed to talk to, and every VC I joined, I joined with some kind of intention to close the gaps between people, and I think I got to know the cast better through these VCs too, so it was a bonus :)

but the general idea is that VCs were troves of information, you just had to be listening well.

In order to claim your reward, you have a task. You must go into Tribal Council chat and ask this question. You may paraphrase but you must ask this:

"If you all had to compare me to a BoJack Horseman character, what character would you pick?"

You must have three people name a valid character from the show in that same public chat that you ask the question in. You also must have at least ONE person compare you to Character Actress Margo Martindale.

Once both of these criterias have been met, you will earn an advantage in the game and this command will be set to CLAIMED.

and I fucked it up the first time by not asking the question myself

so I had to go for another round before Mike derailed the conversation off of BoJack (I was pulling out every stop to bring it back to BoJack @-Mike | {S9})

it’s not really about having mateo at ftc since i’m either not sitting here or sitting here next to riley at FTC. it positioned me to still be behind katie and riley in the pecking order, put me in the final 3 against two people i could beat (and if it was a final 2, one person who’d guaranteed take me and i’d beat, and the other of whom definitely could’ve taken me and duked it out)

of the possible boot scenarios (nobody was targeting myself or lezaria there) i’ll quickly drop these:
- katie: say katie goes 4-2. riley wins that final 5 challenge anyways, she has an idol to do whatever with, soul goes no issues there. at that point going to final 4 with riley and without soul would’ve been wayyyyy too scary challenge wise. while lezaria would’ve won immunity there, that wasn’t a safe thing to bank on. plus, mateo would probably ask to go home there and it would’ve wound up happening. me/riley/lezaria f3, riley wins. if someone other than riley wins that challenge, she plays an idol on herself, that’s game for me.

- riley: no matter how this pans out i’m on borrowed time anyways, i needed riley as a shield until… really until final 4. soul would have that f5 immunity, i’m in big danger there. say katie goes at 5, soul wins final immunity and i’m on the jury. though if mateo asks to be voted out (which there’s no way soul listens to that anyways) and the f3 is still me/lezaria/soul, i come into this final tribal with no big move to my name, no agency over my own fourth quarter, no gameplay case to my name, and a guaranteed loss to soul instead of it being a battle.

i’m not in a legitimate spot to win this final tribal if mateo stayed another day.

The vote after you went is where I consider myself fully into the game. From there, I was much more mindful about where I voted and how it would affect me and my game. However… I think I will have a somewhat disappointing answer. I was playing for myself but mainly for enjoying the game. I loved working with both Soul and Mike and trying to find a way I could keep both of them alive. I’ve loved my game :3

We actually did take a shot at soul at the Corny tribal. It was 3-2-1, Soul-Corny-Katie. Once Soul used the idol, that + immunity made it super difficult to actually attack him. And, as he mentioned before, he knew he would be targeted at each vulnerability. The reason Mike and I didn’t vote him off F5, which we could have, was so we could make sure Riley went F4.

I feel my biggest mistake was not trying harder sooner to initiate game relationships with more people. Missing the Wall and Faye tribal while not having an established game relationship with everyone really bit me in the ass.

obviously i didn’t directly but some of you guys on the jury, i wasn’t able to take control over my own game until my delightful endgame. that said, in terms of jurors potentially voting for me, you and corny both being on the jury does help me here. same with grey, faye, virgo. (though those three aren’t guaranteed they’re absolutely possible to snatch)

when it came to mateo, it was simply just a matter of being friends with my glorious. yeah i blindsided him in a 3-2-1, but a lot of my social game was just being myself and hoping to make friends, which i did because i love yall so much! mateo’s a guy i know can respect game while knowing it’s not personal, on top of the many other reasons i’ve explained about that move being necessary, mateo’s someone who i know i could get a jury vote from if the rest of my cards are played right, which i’m at least almost there. i’m a morning routine away from my singing!

katie (i’ll preface by saying she’s the person who’s jury vote i’m never expecting to get obviously) was someone that, if soul wasn’t in final tribal, told me that she’d have some defenses for my game if it came down to it. it wouldn’t have mattered due to scenarios playing out, but i think katie’s someone i “managed” as well as i could’ve (i hate the word managed because it implies that those were moments of me being fake, they weren’t). i know i’m not getting her vote when her literal boyfriend is sitting here, but i didn’t write someone’s name down and have her think i was a fakeass.

obviously i had to spend a lot of time rebuilding my trust and alliance with riley, but they way i went about securing being the frontrunner for her jury vote was simply just working my narrative with her. pushing the notion of her and i just having to be 1st and 4th, the underdogs, the ones to get that idol played, the agents, etc. obviously, my friendship and respect for riley was and is 1000% genuine, again i can’t bullshit who i am at all. but promoting this narrative with riley was something to help me secure one extra jury vote in my direction. again, if i played that endgame any differently i wouldn’t have a chance, even if i did make it here with this combination.

I never told a lie about where my allegiances lay within the game, only what my next move was going to be. I even told you straight to your face that I would vote for you if I had the chance. I think that's part of the reason why not many people have specific grievances with me in the game, because it was known what I was thinking for the most part, and my moves weren't surprising, they just made sense.

On that note though, I would be incredibly surprised if Grey, the person who held onto a grudge from Kongvivor against Speed, votes me here, considering they were NOT HAPPY with me after that Wall tribal.

I’m not entirely sure how to describe my main strategy. I always focus on being social and trying to gather as much information as I can. Soul helped me a lot with staying in touch until I was able to get my footholds centered and managed. After that, I tried to reach out to everyone every day

I think my strategy worked out well! Obviously I’m at FTC which is nice, but I’m especially pleased to be here with Mike.

The reason I felt so threatened by you with your idol was because we weren’t directly aligned. I didn’t really know you or your plans, but I did know you were a powerhouse player who was a contender to win. The uncertainty made me wary.

I knew there was a high chance Soul would get the rehidden idol. I will admit, I didn’t think there was another one, but i also felt I could trust Soul with an idol more.

The Corny Tribal could indicate that voting you out was a bad idea, but I feel my main mistake was not being on top of my game and finding the idol first. Knowing now when Soul found it is frustrating because there’s a chance I could’ve found it before him

* being an emotional person was absolutely one of the biggest obstacles and weaknesses in my game. i touched upon having OCD in my speech, and everything combined with how this game openly affected me mentally/emotionally made everything an uphill battle. in many ways, my own self was in the way of navigating the game and managing my own win equity, but as the game went on i slowly but surely overcame these weaknesses and now i'm sitting here

* coupled with that, constantly having shit go wrong that wasn't in my control at all. was i perfect? by no means, but i spent the f14-f7 rounds doing absolutely everything i could to make moves and get the game going... i can't control if soul finds an idol by blinking or if mateo throws his vote. constantly not being able to get shit done due to things i had no say over was an obstacle-which again, i overcame due to how masterfully i played those last three rounds

I started separating my game from him at the Virgo tribal, but for the Virgo and Dino tribal we still had similar goals. I separated myself almost completely at the Corny vote and although I stayed allied with him I was definitely not following him.

i'll actually follow up on this:

i did play up my game based on what people's final words were. the amount of "actually fucking do something, make a move, make the game exciting" i got, the amount of "mike you're so sweet i'm rooting for you" i got, the amount of people in the game that told me outright that they just don't want soul to win regardless and that they wouldn't vote for him, that's generally just how i played my cards. continuing to just be myself, and gameplay wise with my showstopping last three rounds and my eventual choice to sit next to soul at the end, and not take him out the one and only time when he was genuinely truly vulnerable.

soul was playing up the notion that he could have low win equity at the end, but based on what other players that weren't allied with him said, maybe that is really just the case at the end of the day. i had to go into here with the mindset of certain people just not wanting to give the guy the win. i'd assumed that his cockroach/comp/idol/socially aggressive/people only trusting him via katie playstyle rubbed people the wrong way and that my style of optimal yet active social/strategy gameplay would garner me jury votes

grey did say and delete in the questioning chat that i'm probably going to lose here, so i'm going to do everything i can these last few hours to advocate for myself for that to not be the case. i don't know where the votes are right now, but i'd kill for the six i need to pull it off.

i've never had this, i want this so bad, i'm going to be just as active of a finalist as i was a player

Why do you deserve a jury vote if you failed the one thing you've been trying to do for 8 tribals?

Let's not forget, 2 out of the 3 idol plays were not on myself. I still had to sculpt the jury into one that would potentially vote me, and when I was vulnerable, I was able to play around it.

I've been trying to stay respectful of your game, but don't expect me to sit back while you take a shot at me.

F10: i do think you and i both know that this round was more than just the game. i still have… opinions with how that all played out, but for the most part i don’t think it should bear relevance here to not reawaken ugliness and demons. that said, i threw the hammer on you, i had corny flipping to me, it was working. i had dino and riley on board to do it… no matter what any of us did, faye and virgo just wouldn’t budge. i kept telling them that you and katie were double-reverse psychology’ing us and that you were going to wind up playing an idol on katie, i absolutely had the correct read there. an instance of something being totally out of my control, with love i don’t think anyone could talk faye and virgo into anything. i obviously thought i was the target that specific round due to our personal issues, i don’t believe that is an indictment on me to have figured as such.

F8: it should have been the most obvious thing in the world for it to be a 5-3 katie-dino, i was fully expecting it to turn out that way, i gave highly detailed explanations to both of them on why it’s more worth it to use dino and her idol as a shield and get the social web keeping you alive out of the game to truly divert any and all trust away from you. plus, why the hell would people want an idol back in the game when they know exactly who’s going to get it in ten minutes? i did absolutely everything in my power to make the move here.

F7: i think this one should go without saying? first off, you go here if you weren’t relying on an idol. i knew you had it, and i’m going to shoutout @Corny {S9} for attempting to orchestrate a 3-2-2 that was genuinely foolproof. i pulled together the pool of people and made the connections to get it done… no matter how much i tried, riley wouldn’t stick to the plan due to her own errors and paranoia, and mateo just absolutely sold there. again, out of my control. i don’t lose my loved one if not for other people’s mistakes.

and obviously, once the final 6 hit, i’ve explained several times as to why i approached the endgame the way i did. it was not at all a brain dead move to get rid of mateo,

all of these chances i had to take you and katie out should have absolutely worked, it was just a matter of people not listening to me no matter how much i talked and how much sense i made, and making mistakes that tanked their own game. why? they were loyal to katie. they were only loyal to you by proxy. every single time it failed, an instant “what the fuck were they thinking?” hit my head. every single one of the people who actively made game ruining mistakes in that manner are not you and i duking it out for the grand title. i didn’t misplay anything, i had all the resources and ammunition to get either you or katie every single time. i was the one thinking with my brain and spine, its a shame others couldn’t.

it’s why i feel so strongly about my underdog arc. all these chances to topple the people ripping control away from me and my game going awry due to other people’s mistakes, and then i rose like a phoenix and played that endgame to absolute perfection.

and in terms of “failing to do the thing i tried for 8 tribals”… i had three chances at 10, 8, and 7, and by then i knew katie had to be the shield at 5 and with mateo’s volatility, duking it out against you was the route to take, especially with the way people talked about you while you in the game. plus, your comp wins were needed to get rid of riley, it stopped making optimal sense for me to target you when i could’ve just easily been like “it’s finally time!” at 5.

sandra diaz twine didn’t have to take out russell hantz, kyle fraser didn’t have to take out joe and eva. the name of the game is adapting which is why i lost the need to take you out.

at the end of the day though, if you’re not relying on comps, idols, and people trusting someone who isn’t you, there are more chances to take you out way earlier, which i’m sure would become successful
