Today I have our first LIVE exit interview with the one and only @Dachi {S8}!!!

I'm doing really well! I called out of work and the snow from yesterday stuck!

so tell us about this season!!! what inspired you to apply in the first place?

you of course were on our casting radar, but we didn't reach out until you confirmed you had interest in playing!!!

Well I was on a high after my CephalORG 8 performance (so much so that I applied for this season before Cephal was over so I had to make some statements in my interview about how "Either I've won or I got close") and I wanted to jump right into another ORG and give it a shot!

how was it making it all the way to FTC with drew and then immediately being thrown onto a starting tribe with him here in fiovivor??

I honestly viewed it more to my benefit (even though Drew is the reason I got 2nd and not 1st) because I knew I could trust and work with him since I had just gotten to the end of a season with him less than a month beforehand

its interesting you look at it through that lens. i am naturally inclined to be petty and think in the back of my mind "you not voting for me in the tie lost me the game!"

so who else besides drew stood out to you early in the game during the @Johto [S8] days and why?? give us your insight on those earlygame dynamics, as you were a solid edgic contender for those first few episodes before you got flipped on!

I would usually be petty, but with just how close that vote ended up being it just kinda rolled off my back

Out of people I didn't already know - Jessica and Cooper stood out to me and I vibed with them pretty well, I talked in my confessional right before swap about wanting to form a 4 with them plus someone else. I also kinda vibed with Nicholas, but during the early game I was willing to let him be the first casualty since noone else was vibing with him. Keep that in mind, as it will be important later.

I felt like I was in a pretty good spot on Original Johto, and if we had stayed on those tribes I feel like I could've ran the tribe!

i for sure agree, part of how i like to host my games is always throwing in things like swaps and joint tribals, or some other sort of twist to make the game more open. from an objective lens i think a player like you is sort of at a disadvantage in that environment, to where YES you COULD HAVE and WOULD HAVE ran that tribe, but i think come that hectic swap a lot of people looked at you as a social threat to make a move on!

were you at all expecting people to go to bat for nicholas, and for you to be the casualty of that? why or why not??

+ how come you yourself didn't ever go to bat for him? was it because it seemed like a lost cause or were you more-so investing your stock in other connections?

that was my biggest mistake. I wanted to have my cake and eat it too - I was really pushing for either a Fuggles boot or someone that wasn't original Johto, but by telling Nicholas that he was in danger, it gave him the leverage to flip Wyatt and Khana (Who I, admittedly, hadn't built the best relationship with) against me

I didn't go to bat for him because once the initial Fuggles plan bit the dust I knew in my mind that it had to be Nicholas, because I was sure Khana and Wyatt wouldn't want to willingly send themselves home, right?

well given the events of #f16-tribal-khana....

i see what you're saying though and that does make sense!

something that i thought was interesting though was that you did openly say in your confessionals (and then make it known later on) that you were NOT interested in sticking around for @Jury // D.W. [S8] any longer, as you didn't want to accidentally pull a chris underwood!!

so my question to you is, do you think players who return via the redemption mechanic are undeserving of that second chance? or is there anyone in particular youre rooting for to come back?

that's the part that's so difficult for me to quantify with how I did this season. Because on one hand, I did personally make a game-ending mistake, but also if that had happened one round earlier I would've still been in the game. It was, to me, both a deserved elimination and me getting robbed

It's not that I think they're undeserving, I think if you play the game and win that you earned it - regardless of if you got a second chance or not. It's more my own honor getting in the way, plus by the end I was admittedly a little burnt out with everything around me. I would like to see Cooper get back into the game though! (And see Fuggles leave since that would mean everyone who voted for me would be out of the game)

how did you feel about cooper bringing back david and not you? was it a sting to not get brought back by the person who voted WITH you at your tribal?? if you DID come back to the game, how do you think you would've fared?

I think that David got robbed harder than I did, so I can see why he was brought back. Plus, if Cooper did bring me back it could telegraph to the others still in the game that we were close. If I did come back, I'd be going in as Red Alert Dachi - just absolutely throwing everything at the wall and playing as aggressively as I could (to prove that playing passively isn't as bad as some people say it is before giving me their jury vote anyways.)

red alert dachi is an interesting one!!!

God Barrel Blast was so fun - it was Kongvivor Gabon but I loved it

my final question to you this fine afternoon is, although red alert dachi did NOT make a return THIS season, fiovivor is notorious for bringing back players very frequently who we feel deserve another chance. can we expect to see you back out on the beaches of fiovivor eventually dachi???

This ORG was super fun, and it had a twist I found really enjoyable!
